Do you guys remember the Morning Sunshine Challenge? To celebrate the release of Robin's book, "Morning Sunshine: How to Radiate Confidence and Feel it Too," we hosted a contest asking people to share their confidence-building tips.

Well, the winner, Lindsay S, will be on the set today! Check out her live interview with Robin at 9.30 am. She's absolutely adorable, you wont want to miss it!

We kicked off the challenge with Robin asking viewers "What is the biggest obstacle you have faced (or overcome) on your road to self confidence?"

iReporter Lindsay Sprick touched our heart with her answer.

Lindsay says that she grew up fast when she was diagnosed with an auto-immune skin disease at age 11 that left 80% of her skin looking dry and cracked like a desert.

She faced a lot of ridicule from her school classmates, but says that she learned to smile in the face of pain, and to keep up her confidence.

Lindsay said, "You can’t let people make you feel bad for things you can’t control. Be proud of who you are and who you want to be! Love yourself and you’ll see that happiness is just around the corner."

Thanks again, Lindsay!

Each of you is unique

Posted: 01:05 PM ET

So that's it, folks. The Morning Sunshine contest has come to a close. Stay tuned to the show in the following weeks, as we announce the grand prize winner of the show, who will get to come to Atlanta and meet Robin.

Today's tip comes from Terri T. Check out her absolutely genius advice for inspiring confidence in her children.

"I tell my children to focus on making the people around them feel welcome. I tell them to know their presence in a room is a blessing whether they do something or not.

Each of them is unique – shy, bold, funny, or serious. All of these wonderful traits are there to be a blessing to themselves and others.

Confidence is not something they need to yearn for, but something they will find in their possession when they realize the truths of the wonderful people they already are."

Just perfect. Thanks so much to everyone who played along!

A daily choice, a mindset, that once made you won't look back

Posted: 12:26 PM ET

As our Morning Sunshine contest comes to a close, it seems like the advice we're getting from viewers just keeps getting better and better.

Viewers have shared so many of their own great tips for building confidence, to celebrate the release of Robin's book.
Viewers have shared so many of their own great tips for building confidence, to celebrate the release of Robin's book.

Today, Jim from Farmington Hills, Michigan, shared these words of wisdom:

"I inspire self-confidence in others by making them stop and really think about how much good they have in life. Most of us have more than enough great things going for us but don't stop often enough to realize it. I compliment them on what they are good at and encourage them to go for their dreams. Self-confidence ... It is a daily choice, a mindset, that once made nobody will ever look back."

So inspirational! Thanks Jim!

Keep tuning in to Morning Express and make sure you catch when we announce the grand prize winner.

Empower them early

Posted: 11:31 AM ET

The Morning Sunshine contest continues, and Robin is now out on a book tour promoting her book, "Morning Sunshine: How to Radiate Confidence and Feel it Too."

Check out our showpage for a look at Robin's tour stops, and see if you can't schedule a time to go meet her in person.

Today's confidence building tip comes to us from Ronald A, who shares how he inspires confidence in young troops:

"As a 19 year veteran of the USAF, I inspire confidence in my young troops by daily challenging them to tasks that they may not have done before or build on their skills or knowledge; tasks that they can easily accomplish by themselves but may have never had to do. By empowering them, early, they become stronger, more confident future leaders of the USAF and have the confidence to deploy to places like Iraq knowing that they can over come the stress and dangers they may face."

Let's see your tips for making others shine!

Posted: 05:51 AM ET

Hey folks!

This week we are asking how you help others radiate self-confidence. That's right, how do you make other people feel great about themselves?

Tuesday's winning answer has a lot to say about why it's important to share with people the one thing we all love getting: a compliment!

"When you compliment people it makes them shine ... even on a bad day a compliment will boost that self-confidence. Looking directly into someone’s eyes when you're having a conversation, and really listening to people makes them feel that you are interested in what they are telling you (even if you not). Self confidence can be destroyed in many ways. I'm a believer in building it, not tearing it down, even if I fell like crap."

From: Sheree B.

Thanks Sheree!

Do you have a secret for making other people shine? Share it with us! We'd especially love to see your iReports!

How do you build confidence in others??

Posted: 11:15 AM ET

This week, the final week, in fact, of the Morning Sunshine Contest, we are asking viewers to share their tips for instilling confidence in others.

Today's winner has a great piece of advice! She says:

"I hope to build self confidence in others by always addressing them by name and offer a positive comment on either how they look, how they appear to feel or on something that I know they recently accomplished, whether it's raising a child or planting a flower. By doing this, I also build MY self esteem by feeling happy."

Pray, meditate and reflect ... Can't hurt!

Posted: 08:43 AM ET

Brian R. was Thursday's winner of our Morning Sunshine Contest. We asked viewers for their tips on how to build and maintain confidence and self esteem. Check out this great list from viewer Brian R:

"Tips to maintain your self-esteem:

1) Get up and get out of bed early ... go run, walk, lift, bike, rollerblade, swim, etc ... to get that blood flowing and that brain thinking!

2) Read positive self-help books – great thoughts from other folks that can help with your spiritual, physical, emotional and mental well being.

3) Help others in need. There truly is something to be said about helping another human being that makes you feel good and re-affirms what we are really here for ... to help!

4) Push the envelope each day. If speaking in front a group rattles your nerves, take baby steps to conquer that fear. Like Tom Petty sang in one of his songs "Most things I worry about, never happen anyway ..." Some of our fears are clearly over-blown in our own minds.

5) Pray, mediate and reflect ... can't hurt!"

Thanks so much Brian! To join in our contest and be eligible for a chance to meet Robin (!!!) not to mention get a signed copy of her book, share your own tips for maintaining confidence.

Keep a reminder of the proudest day of your life

Posted: 01:11 PM ET

Check out a confidence boosting tip from today’s winner of the Morning Sunshine Contest! This one comes to us from Desiree P:

“My tip to boost self-confidence is this: Right by your door, hang up a reminder of the proudest day of your life. It could be a picture, word, phrase, etc. I chose a picture of me on the day I graduated college. I went on to get a job right after college teaching art, something that I am very proud of, so I look back to that every day. It's always nice remembering what you can accomplish!”

Have a tip to share? You could be tomorrow’s winner!

Keep a portfolio of your accomplishments

Posted: 11:33 AM ET

Tuesday's Morning Sunshine contest winner writes to us from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Raymond S. says that when he starts to feel down, he simply reminds himself of all the great things he has accomplished.

We want to hear your confidence-building tips.
We want to hear your confidence-building tips.

"While it may sound corny, I keep a portfolio of the things I have succeeded at accomplishing. When my self-esteem is low, I use this as a reminder that I am a very capable person. Also, surrounding yourself with positivity can help you to have more self esteem. Negativity just seems to fan the flames."

It's not who you impress, but who impresses you

Posted: 11:30 AM ET

This week, our Morning Sunshine contest continues, and we look to viewers for tips and tales of inspiration as we discuss something everyone would like more of: confidence and self-esteem.

We want to hear your confidence-building tips.
We want to hear your confidence-building tips.

Robin Meade's book, "Morning Sunshine: How to Radiate Confidence and Feel it Too," hits shelves September 10. In the meantime, were asking viewers how they stay confident.

This week's question is:
What tips do you have to maintain your self esteem?

Monday's winner comes to us from Terry of Lynchburg, Tennessee. He says,

"Self-esteem is exactly that: SELF esteem. It's not who you impress but who impresses you in life. You cannot change what or how other people think about you but you can change what you think or feel about yourself either by starting a new hobby, moving to a new place or simply changing the route you take to work everyday."

Thanks Terry! Learn how to submit your tips here.
