Wake-Up calls ending

Posted: 12:41 PM ET

I want to warn those of you who get the wake-up call every weekday morning to get your alarm clock ready because we're going to cease that service. Nothing else is changing about the show, I'll still be on the air saying hello to you that way, but I won't be calling your house anymore. Some people in your house might be happy about that! HA!

Thanks to all of you who subscribed to the service. It was a fun, unique way to get our day started together, but the last wake-up call will be on Friday, December 17 2010.

My guess is the daily customization became a hassle. Frankly, it's never been the message for me. It's the ring of the call and hearing Robin's "smiling voice" that makes it a valuable service. Just ending it without modifying it first is short sighted.

That's no good! I'm just now hearing about this "Wake Up Call" and would have LOVED to have gotten a call from you in the morning! :)

Watta jip!

I'm going to hate to see the service end. It didn't always work in getting me out of bed, but I always enjoyed hearing your cheery voice in the morning. I hope in time you consider bringing it back.

Thanks for all of the wake up calls - they were great - I guess now you will have to come up here and shake me so that i wake up. Thanks Robin

Dale Deadmond   December 11th, 2010 6:42 pm ET

That is too bad... gonna miss waking to your voice but glad we will still get to see you deliver the news in your delightful and energetic way that is so infectious.

jeffbosley   December 11th, 2010 7:50 pm ET

Robin i will miss your 530am wake up call even though i had been already at work for an hour and a half. I loved hearing your voice every morning.

Roger garrett   December 12th, 2010 12:39 am ET

Friday was a very sad day I am going to miss my Morning Sunshine from the lovely Robin Meade

waldow   December 12th, 2010 5:44 pm ET

leave your numbers and i will wake you guys up

Karen Dedmon   December 13th, 2010 11:49 pm ET

I hate that the wake up calls are being discontinued. I planted phones around the house and your call woke everyone up.

You are probably right; some may not miss your call but they never want to get up on time. They love sleeping in....

Please bring it back.

stewart   December 14th, 2010 8:06 am ET

Jack   December 14th, 2010 8:10 pm ET

I will miss the calls they helped to wake me up with other alarm clocks. If you start it back up, I will sign up.

Mary Grayson   December 14th, 2010 8:29 pm ET

DJ Shocker   December 15th, 2010 5:08 pm ET

Wow...i never knew about this? How come I never heard about this? I would have loved to get this! Robin, the way you deliver the news is unique, cheerful, and energetic! You are awesome in every way!

Irene Plummer   December 15th, 2010 5:36 pm ET

Hey Robin, Will u bless be by calling me on Thursday or Friday?? My Husband is out of town . He has been my alarm clock for the past 8 years.

Michael Gerdes   December 15th, 2010 5:58 pm ET

Sorry to see it go, but understand the hassle it must have added to your already busy day. Here's a thought to help ease the transition – why not consider creating some MP3 files we could download into our phones or PDAs, with an assortment of messages? That way your fans could still have the option of having your voice wake us up!

HERVE BAPTISTE   December 16th, 2010 4:23 pm ET

Well even though I was never in need for one ,I feel that watching you in the morning is the real wake up call for me.

Erik   December 17th, 2010 3:01 pm ET

Well, I am sad they are going away, but happy to know that the show is staying the same! I will still be able to get my fix of Robin & Co. It was never about the wake up for me...more of a "Hey, get off the couch and go to work!" call. Thanks for the Wake up calls!

Craig   December 18th, 2010 2:01 pm ET

I understand if it was Robin not being able to do the wake up calls because she might have a lot on her plate -but its usually a 'bean counter'saying were just not making money on this!just set your t.V to come on at 'Robin time'.

Geof Currie   April 7th, 2011 8:05 am ET

Well that sucks, because her voice is what gets me going in the morning.
