This salute is from Ciera Huffman from Fort Hood, Texas to her husband Sgt. Dane Huffman of the United States Army. He is currently deployed for his second to Camp Victory in Baghdad. He has a little girl name Breelyn who is 15 months who he hasn’t seen since she was 4 months old.

"Dane is a very energetic 24 years old. He is also an amazing drummer and absolutely loves Muse and Radiohead!

He has taken care of his family even while deployed. He is an amazing father and husband. I know his parents and sister miss him dearly.

He is the type of person who can light up an entire room with his smile and make you feel great about yourself. I can not wait to see him home and be near him again. He is the love of my life and I pray he comes home safe along with all the other soldiers."

– Ciera Huffman

In regards to Presidents Obama's decision of sending American in harms way; I only want to say to the viewers, say what you will but we (all of us who have served and supported to support and defend our great country and its principles faithfully and honorably…past/present/future) we will always come to the rescue of this great America! We are glad you to this for you and are honored that you value your right to voice your opinion and act on 1st Amendment Rights. However please take a moment to pause; this time of season as I remember deploying is not easy on any of us…wives/husbands/children/moms/sisters/brothers/dads/friends/etc. Choose your words wisely for your pride hurts more than whom you think you may be listening. Looking at your blogs and videos on CNN, I know many of you have not served…so you are welcome; yes…next time you see a Veteran, Active Duty or even a Reservist, simply say thank you for you right to practice your Freedom of Speech. Merry Christmas to all of you who may be deploying and God’s speed to you and yours…take care of one another!!!

I have never followed golf, until Mr.Woods came along. I also enjoy his commercials.
Sponsers would be fools to drop him because of his PERSONAL LIFE. PERSONAL being the key word here. We need to stop digging into celebrity lives. Oh, but that would put you out of a job.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to the real world.

Bob;

You still won't believe it . . .

Today you'll report on the snow happening everywhere
especially Buffalo and upper NY state but 90 miles north west from Buffalo in Hamilton Ontario – we got cold, extreme winds but no snow.

Its an anomoly – everywhere around us hasit but not us , , , andthe forecast overthe next 3 days – rain.

Go figure – the local affliate CHCH – has reporters out and about in this city of 500,000 – gettting blown away – but no car pushing and no shovelling

This past Sunday, Jan 3rd. my husband and I flew from Canada to USA. We were told prior to going to the airport NOT to bring carry-on luggage, also everywhere throughout the airport were signs to that end. After passing through the security check points,& customs we noticed that at least 50% of travellers on our flight HAD carry-ons! Also after all the security hub-bub, you are allowed to shop in any of 4 (or more) kiosks and restaurants..........where; if you were a terrorist, you could easily drop-off a "package" to be carried onto the plane without further scrutiny!!! How tight is security for the people that 'stock' the shelves of these stores??? and as we know they can "easily" get passed the security lines anyway!!!
Not feeling very safe for travel by air!!!

I am proud of our veterans but why does this give them special status to come in and take any federal job they want? After 15 years I lost my job to a veteran that had no experience and it is happening in ALL federal agencies. It's called "veteren's preference". I worked hard to climb the agency ladder only to have a veteran come in and take my job that I relocated for. Now I am unemployed. My job was so specialized that I cannot find anything. How is this helping? It was their choice to join the military and they get all kinds of benefits from it. Why does it give them the right to take my job?

Having been an auto mechanic for many years, I am a little concerned that the possibility of a faulty cruise control hasn't come up in their investigation. It is the only part of the electronic fuel injection system that controls the speed of the car independently of the gas pedal. If the vehicle should suddenly speed up without input from the driver, it's very unlikely that the fault was a sticking gas pedal. It is extremely likely that the cause was a problem with the cruise control system.

During the 70's and 80's, there were many problems with Fords and other makes experiencing the same problem due to cruise control system.

Question...has anybody bothered to check and see if the cars that sped up suddenly had cruise control systems?

I suspect Toyota hasn't brought up the system as a possible problem because the expense of fixing a problem with a cruise control system would most likely result in a complete redesign of the system..a great expense.

Finally, if stepping on the brake pedal has brought speeding cars under control (and they indeed had a cruise control system), the interconnect of the brake pedal being applied as cruise control is activated is designed to turn the cruise control system off. Having the acceleration stop after the brake pedal is applied is a dead give-away to a connection with the cruise control system.

If the problem is connected to the cruise control system. as a mechanic, I would drive the car around the block...let alone drive it to work. It would be a time bomb waiting to go off without warning.

It is impossible to get accurate information from Toyota about the recall – I called the local dealer who told me my 07 Camry (non hybrid and the vin does not start with a J) was not on the list yet on the website it is clear that it is on the list – it does not appear that Toyota cares to be responsive to the needs of consumers because when I called the company I got message saying they cannot take the call and to call back but it does not say when...so you wait a bit call back and get the same message....this is a serious problem and it is obvious that some Toyota dealers are not taking it seriously and that the website is not providing customers with all the relevant information.

Could you please instruct your weather man to keep is off the wall comments regarding the President of the United States to himself. It will be awhile before I tune into your morning show. I immediately turned to MSNBC

Daniel McCallum   March 25th, 2010 6:52 pm ET

I have never seen the other party try to make the president fail like the Gop. is doing this term. You would think that this is a country other than the USA.

Daniel McCallum   March 25th, 2010 6:57 pm ET

Tiger is not the only one to blame , all of the women had to know who he was, and that he is married so they could have said NO!
