This is so sad that the people of this once great nation speaks out so hateful about something like this. People listen, you have the right to quit any job you have and stop working or look for something else to do. So for we still do have this freedom to do this. Palin quit her job, so what. I have done this same thing in the past also. All of you that are against her, how about turning in your name so we can critisize you as well. Get a grip people and stop downing every one except self. You are not perfect neither.

I guess that once David Letterman apologized for his jokes, the television news networks were no longer doing stories on Sarah Palin, so she had to come up with something to get back on TV. She is definitely abusing her 15 minutes. I'm amazed that people ever took and still take her seriously as a presidential candidate. If she actually is elected president, I can see her quitting the instant Fox offers her a chance to star in a reality TV series with Danny Bonaduce and Screech from Saved By The Bell.

Personally, I am thrilled she's realized that politics are WAY over her head regardless of what capacity or level. To think she was a mere heartbeat away from the presidency, still makes me ill. The woman may be lovely, but her ego is as big as the state she governed. She make a public display of her poor daughter, Bristol, her small baby and 'snowmobile Bob' her husband to do nothing but try to further her own selfish ambitions. Her folksy "charm" was as endearing as a tick bite. It might work for Alaska, but on a national and worldwide level, this woman could have singlehandedly destroyed any credibility this country had left. Compared to Palin, even 'W' sounded smart. A quitter is a quitter. Hopefully, she'll fade away into a lovely Alaskan sunset.

Hanna I am a republican and simply believe in personal responsibility. Quitting a job and saying I'm no quitter is a lie. Blaming others for my problems is a way of making me not responsible for them. You are really not a very good republican as Sarah is not. Anyone can make anything come out of their mouth (or type on a key board) however one is as one does and thats the way it is.

I don't think Don is right about republicans. He could have left that out and he would have been right. Its human nature to blame others for our own short comings no matter what our political views are.

I am glad Sarah Palin quit her job so that someone more capable can actually help and govern the people of Alaska!

In my opinion, Sarah should stay home with her kids and spend the time to nuture and care for them. I feel sorry for her husband and kids because she is on the 'drama queen' wagon and it's about time she realized that her place is at home until the kids are old enough to be on their own. She can then pursue whatever she chooses!

I just dont think she was ready to be thrust out into the National Presidential stage or spotlight. The pressure of media scrutiny is usally something most politicians have years to grow a thick skin for. I think leaving her post early, shows the strain this has put on her family and her life. Although I dont agree with her politics, I think she is a person of character who is trying to be sincere in an unsincincere business.
