A Drill Sergeant romance

Drill Sergeant Jason J Thompson is married to another Drill Sergeant.

My son is Drill Sgt. Jason J. Thompson. He is a carrier soldier and has been a Marine, 101st Airborne and is now serving as a reservist training troops at Camp Alamo Afghanistan. He has deployed to Iraq twice with the 101st Airborne.

Jason has a wonderful family and his Wife Darrah is a female Drill Sgt. They got pinned on the same day but my they pinned my son first so he say he has had rank longer.

He has a daughter Jacey 11, a son Anderson 8, and son Colton 4. They live with me while he is gone in Superior, Wisconsin. My son and I have a special saying that we tell each other when he leaves on his missions ... I say "take care of my baby and I will take care of yours” and he says, "deal."

Anyone who has had a person in service as a carrier knows it always is harder each time. It never gets easier.

My son loves to hunt and fish and is very competitive at both. When he was home this time we got to go camping and fishing ... he hopes to come home for deer hunting season this year in Wisconsin. It is the same week as Thanksgiving.

His birthday is September 8th. He is the oldest of my children; he is now 30. All of my sons served in the military as well as their father who is a Desert Storm Vet. My son is now a staff sgt., the rank his father achieved before he retired. In our family we still stand for the flag and are proud to serve ... I say we because any family that has a member in the service knows we all go together.
