What’s your wackiest, weirdest, or “best of all time” Halloween costume?

Posted: 09:47 AM ET

Writer Aimee

OK, I’m fessin’ up. Tomorrow is Halloween … I have a costume party to go to this Saturday … and – I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what to dress as!!

ALT TEXT

Is this the Halloween spirit committee? They come after you if you don't dress up for Halloween. Uh oh, Writer Aimee might be in trouble!

I’ve tried just walking through the store hoping an idea would pop out … I’ve tried searching the web for some brilliant ideas … but, nothing pops out at me.

So, I’m curious (and yes, beware, I may “borrow” your ideas) – what are you dressing as for Halloween this year? Or, what’s the best costume you’ve ever worn?

One year … I dressed as a nerd. Some would say that didn’t take a lot of dressing up at all. I had this ridiculous hat with a spinny thing on it. You know you’ve seen them! One year, my sister dressed as a bunch of grapes. A VERY PUFFY BUNCH OF GRAPES. That wasn’t so fun for her when we had to march around the school parking lot for our annual Halloween parade.

I tend to prefer topical costumes … Presidential candidates, or something that represents a hot news story from the year, etc. What do you think? Got any creative ideas?

"Smarty Pants" You buy a giant bag of Smarties Candies and tape them all over your pants. You can add them all over but that would be a bit confusing. I'm going as this tomorrow for my office holloween party.

Happy Holloween... Hope you scarem' to bits!

Robin

I'm a 68-year old white guy, retired, successful who has voted Republican for over 30 years, but not this year. I'm a Rep. for Obama.

Americas should be upset and angry with the present Congress. Let's do something about it and I have a voting suggestion for America for next week. Let's be honest and admit we have a Congress filled with idiots who are getting rich off of us! On Tuesday do NOT vote for an incumbent in the House or Senate, vote for change. To take politics out of it, do this for as many Republicans as Democrats as you can in your state. Don't worry about who else is running, they can't be any worse! I have lined up 8 of my friends, who say that's what we'll do in Montana.

E-mail Robin if you are willing to take the challenge.

You could put question marks all over your face and be an undecided voter(make them blue and red). Second idea-be a Tv news reporter. Make the Tv by cutting up a cardboard box that can be worn. I did it one year and got some laughs. It would a lot more funny for you!

Greetings from your Panamanian fans!!

My husband and I watch your show every day while getting ready for work! We should be watching the local Panamanian news but we prefer your show!!

I've dressed as a couple of stuff for halloween: little red riding hood, galactic space girl, etc but I went to college in New Orleans so I got to see really cool cotumes.. one of my favorite was a guy dressed with cereal boxes covered in blood and holding a knife... he was dresses as a "cereal killer" !! I thought that was really funny!!

How about a clear trash can liner filled with small multi-colored balloons? Jelly Belly jelly beans!
Cut holes for your legs and arms, fill with under-inflated balloons in every jelly bean color and tie off with colorful ribbons. Maybe add a Jelly Belly sticker to front.
Don't forget to wear colorful clothing (maybe sweat suit) and hat.

Best of all time costume: My kids dressed as Mr. and Mrs Santa Claus.
Very warm. No other kids dressed the same, but lots of looks and comments.

Why do so many people focus on the color of a Person ?
Barack is not only black but White also...He opened the doors to all people of the united states black, hispanic and Native american, but determinly native and black to know where they can go and know what we can do for the country we believe in and love. I myself am half irish and Alaskan native, would the world or united states make such a big deal if i was a white or Sarah Palin, president? or would you make little deal if such a white man that was elected president if I was, that looks white? why make such a big deal if he is white or mabe even if he was Bi-racian native american and jewish? He is and everyone who lives in America should be counted nothing but American, not Black, not jewish, not white, not Indian, not chinese, not japanese, not irish not British; But only American and only American; Of all the newscasting making a big deal out of Barack being half black half white, why dont you make a big deal out of me being half irish and half Alaska native? To me it sound like the the country is still divided and stuck on bigotery.....

What an historical election on many levels. The greatest I think is that collectively we have risen to a level where we can look past color and judge a person on his values and his or her position on issues. This election was as big a victory for the voters ( of all races) as it was for the democratic party.

I was an issue voter and I am thrilled that many others were able to vote issues and not race. What a long way from the race riots of the 1960's when for many white people the only thing that they saw was color. However our new president performs, this is a great day in America!

Where's Waldo – October 1991 – Minneapolis Minnesota. I was 4 years old, there was 2 ft. of snow coming down in 24 hours and the temperature was zero, I still got half a pillow case full!
